 What Makes Us Green?

Did you know your home contributes over 40% of your carbon footprint?

It just makes common sense to use products that have minimum impact on the environment. Insulation by reducing the amount of energy required to heat and cool a building is environmentally friendly. Cellulose has the highest level of recycled contents in the insulation industry, up to 85%. Click on Cellulose to see the Greenest of Green video.

Fiberglass takes the sustainability approach. Meaning “Rapidly Renewable”. Did you know that fiberglass insulation’s main ingredient is sand? Rapidly Renewable fiberglass insulation manufactures also recycle more material by weight that any other type of insulation. Fiberglass manufactures in the United States and Canada used over 1.5 Billion pounds of recycled glass last year. Click on EcoBatt to see the video of Knauf’s new EcoBatt.

Fi Foil Radiant Insulation is Energy Star compliant and can contribute to Leed credit. Click on Fi Foil to read more about their product.

Foam Spray. If one chooses to define “Green” by things as recycled content or use of natural materials, cellulose or wool fiber could be considered the “Greenest”. However comparing the various “Green Insulations” in more quantifiable terms such as R-Value at similar thickness, overall energy savings and the effect on indoor air quality may be the most accurate way to assess their “Green” quality. Click on Foam Spray for more information.

Now that I have outlined the information about some of our insulation products,  you can search our website and judge for yourself what green products you would like to use. We use the “Hybrid System” a combination of material to meet energy saving and budget demand. Thank you for visiting us.
